The third in our series of reader photos of the magazine, and it's time for a cup of tea. But only with some custard creams, please!

The photo this week is from Laura who captured issue nine at tea time, wearing her favourite Breton stripes. Do send us your pictures of oh comely to [email protected]. It makes us smile.

We've always admired the accidental artistic discoveries science can bring; beautiful colours and rocks that look like things. Launched last Thursday, Discovery’s European TV headquarters began an exhibition responding to a project with this theme in mind. Given the brief, 'igniting curiosity' 100 artists from Chelsea College of Art and Design, were invited to submit work that did just that. And from a wealth of submissions, four artists were chosen.

Beginning with Emma Cahill’s ‘Magnitude’ construction of plastic and liquid ready-mades, the series journey’s through Edward Alderwick’s narcissism, He Hulang’s musical endangered butterflies and Mimi Winsor’s, anemone. Supporting young and graduate artists the project will span over twelve months working on a quarterly basis for each exhibition. Great White Wall hopes to encourage students to get away from their studios and think about how their work might operate outside them (creatively, of course); focussing on the relationship between art and the world. We think this is an exciting and forward thinking project and are keeping our fingers crossed for more to come. The world’s our artistic oyster.

We all cherish that wonderful feeling of getting a parcel in the post; a present wrapped up in paper and addressed just to us. But, sadly, all that seems to come through the letterbox with our name on it are bills and the occasional card.

The lovely folk at Not Another Bill are determined to change this unfortunate situation by sending their subscribers surprise gifts each month. They work with designers and brands or they simply pick something canny from a vintage market just for you. A subscription is £15/month. Below is a selection of some Not Another Bill presents.

Hoxton Hall is opening its doors to creatively minded 20 - 25 year old artists and designers looking to gain experience and a career, foot-in-the-door, boost. Aiming to assemble a crack team central to setting up and running a new design studio, this is an opportunity here at Oh Comely we’re very excited about.

Calling on; illustrators, designers, visual artists, web designers, print makers, photographers, graffiti artists, advertisers, graphic and fine artists, (phew), the project also hopes to mentor younger creatives (14-19) through workshops thereby passing on the creative baton.

The lucky chosen few will receive a wealth of insider experience in business and tutoring from industry professionals. Not to mention a great opportunity to develop their own portfolio. Beginning on an internship basis, the project aims to pass on money generated to those involved once the agency is up, running and established.

If this has got your creative brain ticking then send over a CV, small statement about your experience and 5-10 jpegs of your work to [email protected]. Bonne chance!

We love seeing oh comely at readers' homes and photographed in new places. Anywhere but the magazine's office! Every Friday, we present one image of an Oh Comely issue nestled in a new context.

This week's photo is by Lily. Here's her black cat, Mimi, and Issue 10. Lily says: "Mimi is an only cat with a few goldfish in a tank to keep her company. She's all on her lonesome most of the day and it wouldn't be a good idea to let her 'make friends' with the fish. So she often sleeps. But a few winters ago she made friends with a fox; they played hide and seek in-between the cars in the snow.'

Send pictures of oh comely at home to [email protected]. Happy reading, in the meantime.

We're planning something exciting: a series of film nights. We'll be holding one each issue and the programme will be full of our most-treasured cinematic things, from old favourites to new discoveries.

The evening will be like a club for oh comely readers to meet up, as well as watching some wonderful movies. Like all good things, drinks together in the bar afterwards will certainly be involved.

Our first wil be at the newly-refurbished Genesis Cinema in Mile End, London this September, and we'll be holding one there every two months. After that, we're also thinking of taking it to some other cities around the UK.

So, we'd like to hear from you. What do you think of the idea? What would you like to see? Where should the film nights go after London? Let us know on facebook, twitter or email [email protected].

Just like your favourite childhood toy, Stack are jumping out of their box and into a new one, commandeering one of the containers at Shoreditch’s Boxpark this weekend.

If you don’t know what Stack do, let us explain. Pooling together some of the best independent magazines around, they gather them up and send them out to their lovely subscribers; a new magazine each time. If you like nice surprises then this is the subscription for you.

This weekend’s event gives you the opportunity to have a look at some of those magazines they love; Oh Comely included. And there will be music, competitions and panel discussions from those in the know. Oh, and the promise of free beer.

We’ll be popping down over the weekend with our latest and last issue for sale in Sunday’s pop-up shop. So do come and say hello. We’d like that.

Update: Alas, there will be no free beer as 'somebody drank it.' How cheeky. But you should go anyway.

Hosted by Christina Wilson and Amanda Cox, the lovely people at Lovely Merchants return once again this Sunday with a cove of vintage goodies and posh jumble.

Christina, an ex-stylist turned photographer, will be showcasing her passion for fashion (excuse the pun!) with some acutely sourced designer and vintage finds; Marc Jacobs being just one of the names about. An artist herself, she’ll also have her photographic cards and prints for sale; centring on the beautiful and undiscovered gazes of life.

Other lovely people involved include stylist Penelope Meredith and Claudia Nella. Penelope will be selling off her clothes and accessories to fund her immanent degree in Footwear Design, with treasures such as rare and vintage footwear; Miu Miu, Chloe and Paul & Joe. She’ll also be around for styling tips to get you through the June showers and sunshine. Look out for Claudia, a previous interior stylist for Elle come trained osteopath, who will also be hosting some high-end gems - plus a variety of vintage dresses. Posh Jumble is in the hands of Yuki, putting her extensive knowledge of the fashion business to good use. Think (mini) mountains of shoes and bags.

Running from midday at the Victoria on Mornington Terrace, until 5:30pm, this vintage, handmade and fashion Mecca, is not to be missed.
