The marketing internship offers an overview of the process of publishing and promoting oh comely to its unique and creative audience, both online and in print. Your primary challenge will be introducing the magazine to new readers, while maintaining the strong relationship with our existing ones. You'll have the opportunity to pitch different and inventive marketing ideas and then execute them. The in-office team is small, so you'll get intimately acquainted with the running of the magazine, from its publishing to editorial work.
The placement will suit applicants with an instinct for promotion, and an intuitive grasp of the challenges posed by a small lifestyle magazine with a limited marketing budget. Strong writing skills are essential.
Day-to-day activities will include:
- Coming up with and implementing ideas to promote the magazine.
- Supporting oh comely's lively online presence across blog and social media platforms.
- Forging promotional partnerships with like-minded companies.
- Writing pieces for the magazine and supporting other contributors.
Internships begin in July, October, January and April. They last three months at two days a week, which enables interns to gain a thorough overview of the publishing cycle.
Placements are unpaid. We cover travel expenses within London.
